Which parent will get custody?
Who will get custody of your child is not predetermined. In child custody and visitation matters, the court will focus on the best interests of the children involved. The traditional belief that the mother is entitled to custody and the father is entitled to visitation every other weekend no longer holds true. Mothers do not automatically get primary custody of their children. Courts can, and often do, award fathers primary custody when doing so is in the best interest of the children. However, regardless of whether you are a mother or father, Mr. Belsky can help you achieve your goals.
